How did you get the idea for this book?
I actually started this book about 12 years ago when I first starting wearing hijab. Each little experience I had, I felt, "Alhamdulillah (Thank God) I'm wearing hijab!" I was about 20 years old and in college when I started wearing it, and I couldn't help notice the positive things it changed in my life, and all of the cute little benefits it gave me too!
Life, work, and kids have kept me busy and I haven't finished the book until now! I hope it brings humor and positivity to all of its readers! Hijab is so often a serious and controversial topic, something seen as oppressive and restrictive; however I and so many others see it as liberating and a such a big part of who we are. I hope this book will bring humor and a refreshing second look at something that is so often misunderstood.
